Eleven

Well I for one am feeling happy about the announcement of Matt Smith as the next Doctor. He was completely not the kind of actor that I was expecting, but whilst watching the interview with him on Doctor Who Confidential I found myself utterly intrigued by him. His CV may not yet be extensive, but it certainly contains some excellent work - the fact he followed Andrew Knott in the role of Lockwood in The History Boys is something I find very reassuring.

And anyway, it could have been worse... they could have cast Paterson Joseph!
