Easter.

I had the pleasure of spending the Easter weekend with Emma and her family on the Isle of Wight. It was a lovely chilled weekend and included a trip to Osborne House and Carrisbrooke Castle.

Osborne House was beautiful, after enjoying an absolutely delicious lunch we explored the house and gardens. There were so many wonderful things to see, and Emma was an excellent tour guide giving us the low down on lots of the history of the house and the items within it. We even managed to find Osborne's very own weeping angels!

Carrisbrooke Castle was equally lovely in a very different way. The walk around the castle walls was lovely (if there were a lot of steps) and the views were fabulous. The highlight though had to be the demonstration of how the well is worked by a donkey. The level of devotion the staff have to the animals is clear to see and seeing the wheel in operation was just brilliant.

The rest of the weekend included much geekery, including the Easter Doctor Who special (loved it), the original Star Wars Trilogy and Skellig. It also included watching Severance, which was the first film I've seen Danny Dyer in that hasn't made me want to throw things at the screen!
